Take action. Don’t wait for someone to do it for you. No matter what your goal or dream or idea is, now is the time. We live in the absolute greatest time for innovative entrepreneurs in history. Technology gives us access to millions of people. The walls that used to legitimately keep people from executing great ideas are crumbling…
There are at least 4 good reasons to start your business now.
1. The middleman is out of work.
In so many industries like publishing, real estate, music, and film, the middleman is pretty much out of a job. Sure, there are still lots of homes being sold by agents and big movies are still made by the big studios but there’s definitely room for the person with a good idea and good work ethic to make a go of it.
2. It doesn’t take money to make money.
In fact, the best way to start is business is WITHOUT anyone else’s money. With social media to help you get the word out and companies like IndieGoGo and KickStarter, even a guy selling his potato salad can get funding. (This actually happened – a guy raised over 50K on KickStarter for people to watch him make potato salad. Seriously. Check it out HERE.)
3. You don’t need a big marketing budget.
Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Amazon and Ebay have already launched thousands of new businesses. Yours could be next. The internet has made NICHE product companies successful almost overnight. Now, you can reach millions of people around the world with your idea, product or service.
4. You can do it from your home, in your spare time.
It used to be that if you wanted to start a business, you needed money, an office, employees and a shingle to hang on the outside of your building. Not anymore. Now, you can work from Starbucks with employees who live miles apart and serve customers from around the world. What kind of world is this? Amazing, that’s what.
